Hey there!
My name is Mihai, and I welcome you to this website where I’m sharing some of the things that I’m learning, the progress, the resources I’m using and the results.
A few things about me.
I had the first contact with IT field and programming in high school, in 1994, when the IT was getting started (at least in Romania) and the PC 286 was a pretty advanced computer.
Ancient history, I know 🙂
I started first with ASM(Assembler), then BASIC, Pascal, FoxPro and then Borland C and C++.
I was very passionate about it, I sometimes stayed night and day with some other friends/colleagues to learn and test all kind of things (without Internet and training, just with some books from the library and the Help menu from the language itself).
After high-school I went to college and I studied networking and just a little of programming, more of my own than at school. In the last year I created a software to help a garage with some basic administration, in FoxPro. Was something like this:

After college, for financial reasons I worked as an IT manager at a construction company for the next almost 11 years, until 2015, when I moved to Spain (personal reasons this time).
And since this was kind of a new start in life because I didn’t know the language, I didn’t have a job yet and I had a lot of free time, I started to read and learn about personal development and trying to find my new way in life.
As one of the exercises in one of the books, I stayed and think about what I really enjoy doing, where was a time when I did something that I didn’t feel like work and I forgot about time. That was the moment when I remembered the passion of programming, and I knew that I want to go back to it.
I started searching for resources, books, blogs, programmers… and, I tell you, the programming world has changed…a lot is a small world!
And if you’re still here, I guess you figured it out, I started re-learning programming: first about all kind of languages, and frameworks and it is a lot about it out there.
After a while I started with Java, after a while Android (with Java).
I went through some mini-courses, I created some applications (basic stuff, but fun to learn), I had also a scholarship from Google for an Android Development for Beginners course and so far I’m pretty excited about all I discover every day.
And to be honest, I have 2 reasons for creating this site: to share what I learn, resources I find myself useful and the second one, to hold myself accountable and keep learning. I hope you will enjoy this journey with me and share your journey and challenges as well.
